Built in New Plymouth 1973, Saunders 42 design, carvel planked Kauri, 300mm centered frames make her an incredibly strong seaworthy vessel. Worked as a West Coast Tuna boat until 2009 before undergoing a five year comprehensive rebuild.

Onyx has retained her original lines but is modernized and re-powered with a Yamaha 370hp engine cruising 12k, max 19k.
