ThIs is a unique sailing ship. She was made over ten years from hand carved two inch thick Huon Pine planks with wooden 'trunnels' (tree nails) that hold the planks together. I would estimate there is half a million dollars of timber in her, and another half a million dollars of labor to build her. I bought her ten years ago as a wreck and fixed her to last a lifetime. She has some very cool features that i added to make her a gorgeous liveaboard / houseboat, including;
1. Glass deck above the the main double bed (beautiful light inside, and lovely to see the stars at night from the bed).
2. Pot belly stove and two large woodboxes that hold two tonne of firewood.
3. Two 10 Kw electric motors that drive the propeller.
4. A 30 HP Kubota three cylinder motor in the back engine room that spins alternators as a generator to power the electric propeller drive.
5. Four large rooms - Wheel house with windows all around, the main living room / bedroom (about 7m by 4m), a large forward bedroom, and the rear engine room.
