The Whittley 22SL Sea Legend model has firmly cemented itself in the 6.0m to 6.5m trailer boat fishing and family boat circles as one of the leaders of this size bracket. Clever space saving design, family friendly features and incorporates a blue water offshore capable hull.

The helm, well you can't "not" appreciate the style and attention to detail in the layout of electronics and gauges on the dash. Seating at the helm is comfortable, with good visibility through the screen, switching is neatly installed all within arm's reach inc the electric trim tabs, electric anchor winch controls, power assisted steering etc.

Overhead, the upholsterer was kept busy on the boat with full camper covers including opening clears fitted, a cabin hatch mozzie screen, privacy curtain to the cabin in the companion way from the cabin to the cockpit and all neatly finished and dressed by the stainless steel framework overhead. An overhead rod storage rack has also been made and this can fold down like the clears if you need space for reducing the overall height for garaging clearance.

The Sea Legend is powered by a brand new, 2 hour old, long block Volvo V6 4.3l 200Hp sterndrive that was fitted new in July 2023 and signed off on by Seatech Marine at the Boatworks in Coomera. The detailed invoice outlines the $24,600.00 investment made by the previous owners.

At the time of fitment new Risers / Manifolds / Starter motor / Alternator / Bilge pumps were installed and further to the detailed upgrade, Volvo "Neutra Salt" system was installed to further protect the new engine from future internal corrosion, reducing maintenance and lengthening the life of the motor.

These V6 four strokes deliver exceptional power and we love how the sterndrive keeps the transom clutter free and in turn, provides the vessel a low center of gravity, that makes fishing at rest more stable and sure footed.

If overnighting is on the cards, a couple will enjoy the upholstered V-Berth with infill cushions in the plush cabin. With a stereo system for some grooves (Bluetooth only), 12v outlet to charge the tech batteries, cabin lining on the ceiling and a quality electric marine toilet, a comfortable overnighter could be had.

On the Trailer

Trailering is via the Whittley / Mackay MLKR5750T tandem axle trailer that marries to the hull like a glove. With a little experience, these well-designed trailers allow you to drive on and off (very careful of the leg position) and the trailer has been fitted with a stainless steel "Latch and catch" system to make this task even easier!

The trailer has an ATM of 2600Kg's so a large 4WD is required to legally tow and the braking system that your car will need to "talk" to is a Hydrastar unit that controls the 4 wheel electric over hydraulic braking system. Like all trailers sold through JCM, they are workshop serviced prior to your handover for your on-road towing confidence.

The advertised price includes written mechanical reports on the hull/motor/trailer. Our trailers are sold in roadworthy condition, right down to tyre pressure checks and an R- clip being supplied on the trailer coupling!

As a member of the Boating Industry Association, our boating industry body, we only use industry endorsed paperwork. Further, engines are supplied with a BIA Used Recreational Motor Boat warranty (Unless advertised otherwise).
