A rare opportunity to own and captain this unique side wheeler paddle boat. Killawarra was built in 1989 in Moama Victoria. This 5mm steel monohull vessel is powered by a reliable Nissan 4.2L diesel motor, power glide trans, to a Volvo diff drive train, and propelled by 9 feet diameter, steel paddle wheels having solid timber floats. With a cruising speed of 8 to 9kmph using approximately 4- 5L per hour and a 200L fuel tank, she is ready to set off to explore the upper / lower Murray River, the Coorong, and lakes areas.
On entering the saloon on the main deck, you will see the magnificent, 5 feet diameter, traditional style helm combining Redgum and Brass, fronted by the engine instrumentation and controls.
This main deck incorporates a starboard side forward galley equipped with a Westinghouse 4 burner electric cooktop and Mitsubishi fridge / freezer. Two comfortable bucket seat stools and benchtop fashion as a meals area. The bathroom is located off to the port side with shower, basin, and household toilet.
