Spacesailer 20 Fixed Keel Trailer Sailer

This is the legendary Spacesailer 20 trailer sailer fixed keel tall rig version. Designed specifically to suit WA coastal waters and sea breezes with excellent stability and strength. The boat is "frustratingly fast when sailed well" according to those racing bigger boats and sails extremely well to windward. The room inside is way bigger than many other boats this length. No keel casing to worry about so you can almost stand up inside and the boat only draws 1.1m. Two adult quarter berths and two can sleep on the generous "v" berth (or 3kids). Cockpit space is great and there are plenty of storage compartments. Silicon chip has served our family and friends well for 30 years and looks pretty darn good for a boat built 42 years ago. We have had many great Rotto day trips and overnighters. In original gel coat (a bit thin topsides) she still looks great and sails as well as the day we got her. Features are;

Rebuilt (2012) and hot dip galvanized trailer with current license but needs a set of brakes if you need to take it places - I don't need to so left the brakes off.

The boat launches and retrieves easily on ramp 8 at ocean reef and other places. We've done it hundreds of times and can show you how. Very reliable Suzuki 8hp twin cylinder 2 stroke (100:1) outboard - very smooth and quiet.

Sails all in great condition - all replaced within last 10 years. Fully battened main, no1.5 Jib great for anything up to 15kts, no3 heavy weather sail for 15, storm jib, spinnaker and pole.

Rigging and mast all in good condition. Mast can be lowered and raised by one brave person or easily by two.

Metho stove, anchor and chain included. Portapotti can be located in a recess under the vee berth.
