Yacht Name TUBASA [ Ancient Japanese meaning "Wings of a Bird" ]
Tubasa is a rare owners version of the popular Athena 38 produced by by Fountaine Pajot. Built in 2005, she has had just three owners and is now reluctantly offered for sale after providing much pleasure.

This fully imported Fountaine Pajot Athena 38 is an Olivier Flahault designed bridge deck saloon, with panoramic views through the saloon windows. She has been exceptionally well-maintained and is ready for new cruises and new adventures. All fittings are predominantly ex-factory and in excellent condition.

The entire starboard hull is dedicated to the owners with a large aft double berth and spacious bathroom forward, plus two guest cabins with shared ensuite on the port side

Fully equipped for live aboard or long-term cruising, Tubasa features the following extras; comprehensive sail inventory including spinnakers, HF Radio, full safety gear, full Raymarine and Simrad integrated electronics systems, back up GPS, autopilot, chart plotter, solar panels, inverter and ongoing maintenance throughout the vessel.

Tubasa has just been on the Hard Stand at Two Rocks Boat Lifters, all anodes replaced and antifoul applied. Lifted out 28/4/23 and lifted back in water 9/6/23. Work to the hulls included two coats of epoxy resin, two coats Jotun Safeguard Universal (brown) epoxy resin Tie coat, three coats of Jotun Seavictor 50 (blue) antifoul, three coats of Petit Vivid Black on the Sail Drives. Tubasa shouldn't require slipping for antifoul paint for 2-3 years

On 29 May, I engaged an independent surveyor from Weaver Marine Surveyors to undertake a Marine Insurance Survey on Tubasa.
I am happy to make the Survey Report information available to bonafide prospective purchasers only.

Please refer to the attached PDF for a more in depth Inventory.

These were custom made to sit on the cockpit deck, under the table fitting around the table upright, not taking up too much space and ensuring plenty of fuel for long distance cruising with an additional 360L. Dimensions of bladders are as follows- 800x600x300mm holding approximately 144L and 1200x600x300mm holding approximately 216L.
There is a 9 Litre Manual/Pneumatic Oil Vacum Extractor Pump. A "must have" for oil changes on the Engines and Sail Drives
Dive Gear: 72 Cubic Foot Tank and 15 meter hose, regulator & demand Valve. This is a must for maintenance on the huls in water and in the event that you pick up a cray rope.
