Accommodation
Stepping aboard aft, the Outer Reef has an extended teak covered aft deck area with easy access via port or starboard stairs up to the cockpit. The lower aft deck also includes a rear transom door that leads to the crew cabin and engine room. ALUCIA has teak decks in excellent condition forward to the Portuguese bridge. The covered cockpit/aft deck is quite large and has a built-in seating area and teak dining table for six to eight guests. The built-in seating provides two large deck lockers for storage. There are port and starboard boarding doors in the cockpit to make dock transfers easy. Portside in an enclosed cabinet is an additional set of engine and thruster controls.

Accessing the foredeck port side or starboard side, there are built-in wing doors which lead to covered teak walkways all the way forward to the Portuguese bridge. There are also boarding gate doors on this level for easier and additional marina landing options. Access to the foredeck is through an opening gate door via the Portuguese bridge. The foredeck features built-in seating w/ fabric cushions, large deck lockers for on deck storage, access to the anchor windlass and mooring cleats.

The saloon is open and comfortable for a large group and features a large L shaped settee to port with a teak dining/cocktail table. To starboard are two built in cabinets, the larger of the two is an entertainment center with a flat screen TV. Forward of the salon and up two steps is the galley/bar area. ALUCIA has an all "Bosch" galley with "home sized" refrigerator freezer, electric cooktop and oven, microwave oven and dishwasher.

Ahead of the galley is the Pilothouse which is the social hub of activity underway. There is a large settee aft with a high teak table that is the best spot to be for out of the sun and wind cruising. This also is a great place for quick meals, coffees in the morning or doing desk work underway. Ahead of the settee is the Stidd helm seat, full width helm station for operating the boat. Engine instruments, engine controls, navigation gear, electrical panels, stabilizer controls, bow thrusters, and systems monitors all logically and simply arranged in an impressive command center.

Up an internal staircase from the Pilothouse accesses the expansive flybridge with room for everyone. There is a raised helm seat and helm station with duplicate instruments and controls to match the lower helm. Two large seating areas with room for six or eight each and matching tables. Just aft is a flybridge galley area with a stainless steel gas BBQ, sink, food prep area and abundant storage. The flybridge aft includes a 4.3m Zodiac dinghy with a 4- stroke 40hp Yamaha O/B and a Marquipt 1500# davit. The flybrige is covered with a fiberglass hardtop with ladder access.

Back in the Pilothouse there is a forward staircase to starboard that provides access to the cabin areas. Forward from the stairs is the VIP guest cabin with a raised queen bed on the centerline, hanging lockers, drawer storage, large overhead hatch and it's own ensuite. The ensuite has a granite counter top, sink, vanity, Vacufush head and large shower stall. The cabin is light an airy thanks to a high overhead and the opening hatch.

Moving aft and on the portside is a well designed guest cabin with a double berth below and a single berth above. There is a hanging locker and excellent drawer storage making this space excellent for longer passages for family or friends. This cabin also includes an ensuite with granite counter top, sink, vanity, Vacufush toilet and large shower stall.

The Master stateroom on the Outer Reef 65 is a "masterpiece" with athwartship King bed with drawer storage beneath, nightstands to each side, desk/vanity area, "walk in" hanging locker, two additional hanging lockers and plenty of drawer storage to allow for easy packing for extended voyaging. The Master ensuite features double sinks in a granite top, vanity, Dometic electric head and shower compartment.

Aft of the Master is engine room access. The engine room offers almost 6 foot headroom throughout and the simple layout with easy access to all systems makes the Outer Reef 65 engine room a dream. A walk through of the engine room aft leads to crew quarters. The crew quarters can be accessed from the aft deck via the transom door below the cockpit. To starboard the crew area has an upper and lower bunk arrangement with sidetable, hanging locker and drawer storage. Opposite the cabin is the crew head with a Tecma electric head, sink and vanity and a pull out shower. Aft of the head is a large locker for fishing rods, cleaning materials, gear and deck equipment. There is also a small refrigerator and storage for crew personal gear.
