Alexander Marine are pleased to present the 2009 Grand Banks 39 Eastbay SX 'Quest' to the market as central agents.
The Eastbay model range from Grand Banks Yachts are considered the pinnacle of down east style express cruisers. 'Quest' being an enclosed saloon "SX" model which is a reference to Saloon Express - were built on a Raymond Hunt designed deep-V hull with moderate beam for excellent performance and sea keeping.
Entering the cockpit via a teak swim platform, and through a substantial transom door, you will arrive at the spacious teak-laid cockpit complete with a fixed rear lounge and height-adjustable varnished teak table. A fixed ¾ canvas awning is attached to the aft of the hardtop, providing further protection from the elements when enjoying the cockpit. So as to ensure that guests remain hydrated, the cockpit is complete with a 130L drinks fridge and a small sink. Access to the wide dual-access side decks from the cockpit is an easy affair.
From the cockpit, guests will step up through a single entry door into the generous saloon that features an abundance of natural light and 360 views. Grand Banks' famous flawless satin teak interior is a highlight of this vessel. A light tan-coloured L-shaped settee is positioned to port, complemented by a freestanding coffee table. The Helm station is positioned to starboard, where the captain can enjoy the comfort of a Stidd helm seat. Positioned within easy reach of the vessel's instrumentation that features a suite of Raymarine electronics. Aft of the helm seat is a storage cabinet that incorporates a hi/lo TV installation which is perfectly positioned when seated in the L-shaped lounge.
Beneath the saloon sole is access to the engine room. 'Quest' is powered by Twin Cummins QSC 8.3 500hp shaft drive engines which provide impressive performance at a range of slow and fast cruising speeds. Her Onan generator, air-conditioning equipment, and Watermaker are located in the engine room space.
A few steps down from the saloon you enter the open-plan galley and lower dinette space with natural light pouring down from the windscreen overhead into this area. The in-line galley is positioned to starboard and features black countertops, dual burner electric hot plate, a microwave, and a front-opening refrigerator. The galley also offers plenty of storage. Opposite the galley on the port side, is a U-shaped dining area and a folding teak table that converts to a bed. Aft of the galley is the head compartment, featuring an innovative curved plexiglass shower screen that contains the wet area when in use. The heads striking black countertop finish mimics the galley, and the head is complete with a VacuFlush toilet. The Master cabin on 'Quest' is situated in the bow and boasts a queen-size island berth, a cedar-lined hanging wardrobe, and ample storage in hand-made teak drawers.
'Quest' is air-conditioned throughout for your comfort. Otherwise, the vessel features lots of natural light and ventilation via numerous hatches and port holes.
The Grand Banks 39 Eastbay 'Quest' is a skillful blend of classic with contemporary and is ready to enjoy the summer boating season.
