Built to MOT survey by the reputed Oliver and Gilpin Shipbuilders of Tauranga, this 66ft explorer was launched in 1974 and has been loved by her sole owner ever since. Constructed from a triple skinned diagonally laid Kauri then sheathed with fiber glass, she is timeless and perfectly suited to New Zealand conditions. She has spent much of her life cruising the Kings and outer islands on fishing and dive trips.
The beautifully constructed teak interior is made up of a large saloon, galley and 2 double berths and 3 single berths mean that the whole family can come along for the ride. The swim platform is well placed for aquatic adventures, equipped with 4x bait tanks, tuna tubes, a large aft deck chiller and dive compressor. The forward 4.5m tender is easy to launch and perfect for getting ashore and can be kept on standby off the stern while at anchor.
Dual helm stations with Raymarine navigation and Furuno Radar provide great control and visibility whether it be from the pilothouse interior layout, or up top on the generously sized flybridge with great sun lounging for you and the crew. The Raymarine satellite TV dish make sure lazy days are entertaining.
Shaft driven by twin GM Detroit 671's at 275hp a side with an extended fuel capacity of 5,455L there isn't many places she cant go. The engines have been well serviced and has a full-service history to go with her. Equipped with water makers, gen set, solar, large fridge/freezer space, returning to the dock is optional.
