We are looking to purchase a Scimitar 1010 for basing out of Brisbane Manly. The scimitar 1010 needs no introduction as one of the most versatile and economical to run catamarans which is just as happy offshore as it is cruising the coastline.
It's incredible speed and efficiency of 17kts at 40L combined fuel consumption make day trips to Tangalooma and other far away places an affordable prospect.
The syndicate will be set up using online software and contracts where each partner can book days in advance and all mooring and maintenance is split. The yearly ongoing mooring, insurance and maintenance will be split equally.
Using a equal partnership arrangement, the stress of boating and financial burden is shared equally. This reduces the risk of the investment and also still allows a significant time for usage at half the year. Importantly the Scimitar has an avid following and holds its value well in the second hand market.
Using the syndication software we are able to set an end date to the syndicate where the boat will be sold and shareholders retrieve their capital, or via mutual agreement the syndicate could be extended etc.
The price listed is for a top of the line used scimitar 1010 that's available now. However the boat to purchase will be jointly agreed upon and could vary, perhaps even cheaper for the right boat. Other features such as yearly trips to the whitsundays can be jointly agreed upon too if the syndicate so desires.
We have experience managing and looking after vessels of this size, our previous boat was a Lagoon 380 which was owned for ten years. Currently we also run a Barracuda 9M fishing boat which is also stored at manly.
On our side of the syndicate we can do the organizing, and look after maintenance and yearly haul outs etc.
