Presentation
Extremely well built with a strong design, this Hitchiker 33 was designed as a cruising catamaran with an excellent layout for family adventures. The Hitchiker 33 was designed by John Hitch and built by current owner with fibreglass vinylester and foam construction making for a very strong hull. Accommodation for at lest five with two large double bunks, and a single aft berth. A large galley with everything you need, an oven, sink, SMEV 2 burner gas stove and plenty of storage. The galley also has a porthole next to the sink which allows for a great view of the water and fish swimming past, as well as ventilation.
A true long term, live aboard blue water cruising catamaran, which has been well maintained.
This boat was antifouled in Feb 2022, there is also a survey available from March 2022 on request.
Accommodation for at least five comfortably with two double bunks forward of the main cabin between the hulls and a single bunk aft on the stbd. Side.
A large galley on the stbd. Side with everything you need oven, sink, SMEV 2 burner gas stove, fridge/freezer and a larger fridge/freezer (separate units, fridge/freezer has the ability to remove the freezer section and be utilised a larger fridge. Larger unit can be used as a fridge or freezer).
The galley and head have internal undercover sideports. Allows views of the water and fish swimming past and both hulls have sideports frd and aft, all sideports have removable fly screens. The boat is also fitted with Hurricane vents throughout the boat to allow normal circulation when onboard but also when the boat is closed up. Sirocco fans fitted in Owner's bunk and main cabin.
Solar hot water heater fitted on main cabin top which is effective on hot days and on cooler days there is a fixed inline pump and shower head located in the head utilising boiled water.
A true long term, live aboard blue water cruising catamaran comes completely fitted out, all you need to do is move onboard and restock the galley. It was also built to be self sufficient as far as possible eg. 4 x Solar cells, 2 x 9Kg LPG bottles for galley use (changeover valve located in port storage), 1x 9Kg LPG bottle for the Ziegler and Brown BBQ, water catchment area located on cabin top with dedicated pipework running to cabin sides (portable hoses connect to reach water tank filling points, 7x house batteries.
Having a draft of 1 metre it allows catamarans the ability to get into places deeper draft boats can not very handy at the moment as it allows the boat to exit/return to Lake Macquarie.
The current owner likes green as well wishing to have a boat that could be seen in the event of that unwanted emergency certainly makes it easier to be found.
If you are looking for a blue water cruising catamaran setup ready to go and don't mind the colour green then this boat could be for you, so don't hesitate to give Glenn a call today on to book an inspection or find out more information.
