Palawa Dreaming is a true Bluewater sailing catamaran, built in the US Virgin Islands and subsequently sailed to Australia across the Pacific. She is a really good compromise between high performance cats and the slower and heavier production boats.
She boasts a large galley and king sized bed on the bridge deck cabin with an additional lounge for entertaining. There is also a large permanent chart table in the cabin area capable of holding full sized chars and more.
She has a double berth aft in the port hull and a king sized single in the starboard bow.
She has a fully equiped workshop aft of the starboard hull with lots of spares. Easy access to the Yanmar 30 hp diesel engines (3YM30s) for maintenance.
She had new sails made and fitted by OneSail and all of the navigation electronics replaced in 2020.
She is fitted with 1800W of solar panels that charge the house batteries at 24VDC. All of the solar chargers are Victron MMPT units that have performed flawlessly for the last 3 and a bit years since they were fitted. The house batteries consist of 4x260AH "Full River" batteries that are just over 2 years old. 24VDC runs the fridge and freezer She also has a 24 to 12v inverter that runs all of the lighting and nav equipment. She has a 5kVA victron 204VAC inverter that allows for AC appliances to be run from power points around the boat's interior.
She was anti fouled in March this 2022 and the bootstrapping was also repainted at this time
She has a 240VAC hooker air supply installed and a 240VAC Rainmaker 110 l/hour unit installed for unlimited fresh water.
Early 2021 her mast was removed, serviced and repainted as well as having all the standing rigging replaced by Marlin Marine in Airlie Beach. A new masthead light, CelfiGo mobile amplifier and VHF antennas installed, as well as high intensity deck lighting under the diamond stays.
Comfort aboard is assured with a 240VAC/engine heated hot water service that provides hot water to the shower, port hand basin and galley.
Early in 2022 the vessel had an out of water survey conducted which is available at the time of your inspection.
If you are looking for a reasonably fast sailing cat ready to sail away today then Palawa Dreaming is an affordable cat made for you.
